the location worked well as an overnight stop for us. we traveled from oxford to the lakes and it was just five minutes off the m6. all the staff we spoke to were attentive.
on entering the car park it reminded me of an old ppls home. the rooms were basic and old fashioned and so cold i slept with my partners hoodie on.

The breakfast had good wholesome options. The service was excellent. I found the location quiet with plenty of parking space and outdoor seating. The room was very clean. The bed offered great comfort. The staff, from reception to the bar/restaurant, were pretty good.
The Starbucks lounge coffee was not properly prepared by the staff.

the breakfast service was not good. getting a coffee took a long time. also, the bar service was slow. it seemed understaffed for the number of guests, which impacted the overall experience.
